FWB and FWB Consulting host third sector lunch in conjunction with ACOSVO

The lunch brought together CEOs and senior leaders of third sector organisations to discuss recruitment and retention strategy, as well as the current climate and marketplace and how these factors have had affected both workforces and organisations.  Judy Wagner and Guy Hughes spoke about their respective experience in selection and retention in this and other sectors, leading on to a discussion centred around challenges in attraction, talent management and leadership development, and exploring how influential the third sector’s unique motivations, perceptions, resources, and funding can be.

Action points and conclusions reached focused around the need for comprehensive but individual and tailored recruitment and induction processes, with an emphasis on development initiatives over training for  executives. In addition, there are opportunities for third sector organisations to use their projected and internal values in order to attract, develop and retain talent.
