Business Development & Marketing Director – Asset Management

Sandstone Asset Management is a newly established asset management fund, which allows institutions or high net-worth individuals to deploy capital and build a property portfolio, with Sandstone managing all of the administration and coordination of activities on behalf of clients.

It is part of the Grant Property Group, which is a leading property investment and management company with over 20 years of strong performance in the UK’s property market.

There is a long-term vision for the two businesses to act as a conduit for each other. With headquarters in Edinburgh and specialists operating from local offices across the UK, the Group excels in building secure, valuable, high yielding portfolios and enables investors from all over the world to generate financial wealth in the UK property market, providing complete investment services for clients across 30 countries in over 2,000 properties.

Given the establishment of the Sandstone business and brand, and the growth of the Property Management business, we are seeking to appoint a senior commercial leader to the organisation who will form part of the Senior Leadership Team.

The primary focus will be on growing the Sandstone Asset Management business, engaging high-net worth individuals and institutional investors in an engaging and relevant manner.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Business Development and Marketing Director will also provide broader marketing and commercial expertise to the Group as a whole, supporting the development along with the Chief Executive of the marketing function, people and strategy.

The Business Development and Marketing Director will be responsible for the following (not limited to);

• Supporting and working with the Exec team to define and implement a sales & marketing strategy for the new Sandstone business, and broader input to the Grant Property brand marketing
• The identification and origination of new investee prospects and the relationship management of investors
• The development of the team including recruitment and upskilling of people
• Management of any external brand and design agencies for marketing collateral
• Management and development of the business sales strategy and relationship management with investors

We are seeking to identify and appoint an inspiring and credible sales and marketing leader who has an understanding and track record within the areas of wealth / fund / asset management.

The individual will be well networked within the institutional investor / high-net worth community across Scotland and ideally the UK.

The Business Development and Marketing Director will have a track record of delivery and achievement within this area and be able to evidence successful sales and marketing strategy development and execution.
