FWB either co-founded, manages, or sponsors a wide range of key professional networks critical to our unique network and professional reach across the business communities UK wide.

It is our continuous development of and investment into these networks and communities that give us unique real time access to market insight and even wider talent pools relevant to our clients UK wide.

Some of examples of these networks and partnerships are below.

The Scottish Human Resources Leadership Group

This was launched 7 years ago to provide a professional body to advance HR as a discipline in Scotland, to increase its influence and reach and provide development opportunities for the professionals working in the discipline. Since then, an Operating Board has been developed with the purpose of supporting the SHRLG board to broaden the impact and increase activity in the network. The SHRLG since inception have brought international speakers such as Monica Lewinsky, Erin Brockovich and most recently Wesley Hamilton to their members events.

The Scottish Finance Leaders Network

Co-sponsored and managed by both FWB and leading Big 4 Accounting and Advisory Firm EY, The Scottish Finance Leaders Network has been in existence for over two decades and manages events, CPD, thought leadership and professional networking opportunities for the finance community across Scotland.

The CFO Awards

Co-sponsored alongside leading advisory and professional services organisations Grant Thornton, Barclays and Addleshaw Goddard the CFO Awards are an annual celebration of the talented finance leaders within the Scottish Business Community. The awards source, select and assess talent across all major industries, ownership classes and sizes and culminates in an annual awards ceremony showcasing the winners and their achievements to the wider business community and media.

Private Equity Investor Networks

FWB partners with a wide range of Private Equity and Venture Capital firms, including managing the active investor network for a number of these investor networks, leading events, and introducing potential investors and executives/non-executives to their portfolio companies.

Entrepreneurial and Scale-Up Networks

In addition to supporting entrepreneurial and scaling-up businesses through our access to the investor community, FWB hosts a quarterly ‘Scale Up Dinners’ alongside sponsor partners from Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Corporate Finance and Private Equity.

Scottish Financial Enterprise & Fintech Scotland

FWB are pleased to be longstanding members of SFE and regular contributors and hosts of key executive and non-executive member networking and thought leadership events alongside the leadership and events team at SFE.

Family Business United

As part of our long-standing support and service of the Family Business Community FWB regularly hosts thought leadership, networking and leadership events alongside Founder CEO Paul Andrews and the Family Business United network.

Executive Education Alumni Networks

The alumni of participants in our Executive and Non Executive Leadership development programmes which have been run in partnership with leading universities like The University of Edinburgh. These programmes have been run over many years and as well as combining academic learning with experienced practitioners they also promote peer to peer learning and networks building.
