Market Mapping

Insight & data powering your talent & recruitment strategy

Market Mapping is a critical element in any business’s journey to interpret and understand the full range of talent across its sector. This makes it one of the most fundamental processes we undertake for clients, both as a key part of the Executive Search process and as a standalone service to inform strategic planning and increase competitiveness.

Essentially, Market Mapping involves the analysis of a market, especially competitors, and establishing the employment status of the key people working within it. This creates a clearer view of the skills and talent available to you and your competitors. Using our extensive access to the relevant data, we can arm your business with the information, you need to plan organisational design, internal talent and external recruitment strategies in order to meet your business objectives and attract outstanding candidates.

Our Market Mapping will help you identify the skill level, and consequent expectations of candidates for specific roles, as well as illustrating the geographical spread of talent enabling you to source the most valuable candidates.

It has proven particularly helpful for clients entering new markets who need to understand the location of potential recruits and the calibre of executives and technical specialists they will need.

We have partnered with FWB on a number of projects and Executive Search mandates, as well as working with them on confidential market mapping when we were considering changes to our organisational structure and the recruitment of two new key positions in the US and Europe.

The research team at FWB provided a comprehensive report detailing the leadership structures and key personnel with target organisations and markets as well as identifying potential relevant talent and targets during this process. The insight and feedback from the exercise allowed us to best position the structure in each market accordingly and make the eventual appointment at the most effective level in our structure.
