Founded in 2013, Trtl is a brand and lifestyle e-commerce business based in Glasgow that specialises in designing and marketing innovative travel products.

Their first product was the Trtl Travel Pillow, the travel pillow reinvented. Seeing a clear and common problem that most travellers experience, they innovated and found a real and unique solution aimed at a more thoughtful, more purposeful travel that empowers their community with better journeys, to make sure they make the most of wherever they’re going.

With nearly 2m customers worldwide already, they are excited about the opportunities on the horizon to continue to build their brand to be synonymous with travel, comfort and innovation. As their first key Board hire alongside the Founder CEO, you will help them chart the course. Come and join them on the journey.

The Chief Operating Officer:

With the projected growth and the rapidly scaling people and commercial operations anticipated, Trtl are now looking to appoint a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to help them continue that journey, ensuring that they continue to perform well as a team as they grow-without losing their entrepreneurial spirit.

An exciting and dynamic role, the COO will work closely with the founder, and provide leadership on a day-to-day basis across various teams including:

  • Operations & Planning
  • Customer Service
  • Procurement & Supply Chain
  • Finance
  • Human Resources

In this role, you will not only be making sure everything is running on track as well as supporting each team to achieve their goals, but act as a project leader for monthly planning cycles and drive your teams to deliver this. As the executor of business strategy, you will oversee the implementation of company strategies that are created by senior management and hold responsibility for delivering results on a day-to-day basis across all teams within the business.

Organisation is key to success in this role. From people management to developing new processes and delivering robust internal reporting – the new COO will be a leader in the organisation, getting the best out of the team and ensuring the smooth running of Trtl.

Your role will help and coach the team to improve on their respective performance metrics through improved planning and streamlined processes – in turn helping the business to mitigate delays or issues along the way.

As you grow the business together, you will work closely with the founder to support the delivery of their ambitious plans to make Trtl not only the leading Travel Accessory business in the UK but also across the globe, becoming a brand synonymous with experiential travel.

This is a critical role for the business and will assume much of the day to day responsibilities currently being carried out by the founder, which in turn will allow the CEO to focus on strategic objectives aligned to growth, sales and marketing, and new product development.
