Chief Strategy and Performance Officer

About the role

The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership has an overall budget of over £600m and covers a population of over half a million within the City of Edinburgh.

While the City is vibrant, growing and successful, it also has areas of significant inequality and deprivation. The latest projections show that Edinburgh will continue to grow faster than anywhere else in Scotland, with some age groups that make extensive use of public services projected to grow more rapidly than the overall population.

We’re looking to recruit a Chief Strategy and Performance Officer who will oversee the outcomes of the majority of the budget spend, including both the strategic commissioning of services and the quality of service provision (both internal and purchased). As well as having direct decision making responsibility for allocation of budgets to achieve the outcomes of the strategic plan, they will also impact on staff and services from both NHS Lothian and the City of Edinburgh Council. They will have direct management responsibility for c.250 staff and will influence the work of 6,000 staff across the partnership.

This is a hugely exciting and challenging role, and a unique opportunity to really make your mark, and influence Lothian and Scotland as a whole.
