Our distilleries, warehouses and bottling operations across Scotland produce and export a range of iconic premium spirits from Beam Suntory's portfolio, including Laphroaig®, Bowmore®, Auchentoshan®, Teacher's, Ardmore®, and Glen Garioch® Scotch whiskies and Sipsmith gin.

About the Role

The Engineering Director will be accountable for leading the Scotland Engineering function including Operations Maintenance, Asset care program, Capital projects, Site Services and the Health & Safety function.

The role reports to the General Manager for UK & Ireland and liaises closely with central Engineering, Central H&S, Operations, Distilling, Quality, Finance, and NPD. We are looking for an exceptionally talented and driven individual who will be accountable for the Scottish engineering estate which contains five distilleries, a bottling and spirit processing site and maturation warehouses. You will help to drive Engineering Excellence across the sites to achieve global recognition as a world-class operation.

Candidates should have:

  • At least 10 years' experience in a multi-site engineering role preferably within the global FMCG sector.
  • An inclusive and collaborative style – able to multi-task, connecting people and adopting best practice.
  • Experience of driving a high level of discipline and exceptional collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Experience of vendor management; relationship forming, managing performance and capital asset purchase negotiations.
  • A strategic mindset and experience of forming and implementing a 5yr Engineering strategy.

You will also be a resilient and collaborative leader who can work with and influence across a broad stakeholder group both internally and externally.
