Group Sales Director – Sub-Contract Manufacturing

About the role

Our Client provides a turnkey service for global contract manufacturing, combining high-quality machining with design capability, hydraulic services, fabrication, assembly, testing and project management across seven operational centres in the UK.  It was created by a private equity fund and, although each of its operational facilities continue to work autonomously, the Group brings them together to provide a much broader, integrated contract manufacturing service. The Group currently employs over 200 people with annual revenues of £20 million and has recently invested heavily in a new facility to position itself for further significant growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Group Sales Director will be tasked with growing both new and existing accounts by creating long term collaborative relationships with customers in key strategic markets. The appointee will lead a multi-functional team and ensure that they individually deliver growth across all business units and markets in line with the Board’s strategy and expectations.

Candidates for this appointment must possess a proven track record in growth and business leadership ideally gained within the global subsea oil & gas sector and demonstrable experience of defining achievable sales strategies within a sub-contract environment. Additional experience within the defence and/or automotive sectors would be desirable.

The Group Sales Director will be based in the UK.
