Head of Growth & Operations

About the role

The Edinburgh Practice is a private mental health clinic run by a team of highly specialised psychologists, psychiatrists and allied healthcare professionals and is regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. We offer assessment, treatment and therapy for children, teenagers and adults including gold standard ASD and ADHD diagnostic services for children and adults nationally and internationally. The Practice is an innovator in its field and a centre of excellence in the creation of new and meaningful services for clients in the future.

Providing a safe, nurturing environment with the highest level of supportive care is at the heart of The Edinburgh Practice. We are an ambitious, growing business and have recently moved to a new spacious, purpose-built facility, allowing for the expansion of services, hiring of additional clinicians, and ensuring ongoing excellent patient care. The new facility features 26 therapy rooms and an event space for in-house and community events.

As part of our growth, we now seek a talented Head of Growth & Operations who will have responsibility for the oversight of the business plan, working very closely with the Founder and the existing leadership team to ensure that the operations side of the business underpins its sustainable growth. We are looking for an experienced all-rounder with a hands-on approach who can develop processes to ensure that the business is meeting its performance targets and might include, but not be limited to:

  • contributing to and overseeing the development and implementation of the company's strategic plans for the development and delivery of healthcare and wellbeing services
  • leading external stakeholder contract negotiations, budgeting, and developing long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior management to meet growth objectives
  • devising strategies for ensuring the continued growth of the business and implement process improvements to maximize service output and minimize costs
  • supporting the Practice Manager to plan and manage employee resources, ensuring appropriate staffing and long-term retention of talent, as well as ensuring that staff are following operational best practices
  • building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

We are looking for candidates who will strongly resonate with the ethos and style of the business and who will be a strong fit with our values of Courage, Compassion, Integrity, Safety & Personal Growth. A strategic and creative mindset and great energy are highly desirable! Previous experience of working in the healthcare sector is not essential and we welcome applications from a wide range of potential candidates.
