HR Director

The UK Agri-Tech Centre (ATC) has recently been established through the merger of 3 businesses and employs over 135 people across the UK. It is a unique, independent and unbiased organisation in the pursuit of driving UK economic growth while positively impacting humanity and the planet. They connect industry, government, and scientific excellence to propel agri-tech solutions to market which promote circularity in agri-systems, food security & resilience, sustainable productivity and benefit our environment.

This exciting newly created role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, carries significant importance following the merger of 3 businesses in April. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have a team of HR professionals reporting to you. The primary focus is on aligning and establishing a fresh company culture that embodies the values and objectives of this unified enterprise making it an ideal position for someone eager to make an impact and contribute to the mission of “saving the planet and feeding the world!”

The HR Director will lead the integration of new people practices post-transfer, support employee transitions, and develop resourcing and succession plans for year one and beyond. This pivotal role will drive transformative HR strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a culture of innovation. Other key responsibilities include designing pay, rewards, and benefits programs, including an ATC-specific bonus structure, and supporting annual pay reviews.

Ideal candidates will be purpose-driven, possess strong leadership skills, deep HR expertise, and knowledge of UK employment law. Sector experience is not necessary but somebody who has worked within a similar, diverse stakeholder group would be highly desirable.
