Head of Supply Chain and Logistics
About the role
Independently owned Highland Spring Group is the UK’s largest supplier of bottled water (Zenith 2015 bottled water report) and is proud of its iconic brand and integrity driven culture.
The business is at an exciting stage in its development with a clear business strategy for growth aligned to its vision of becoming the UK’s leading independent supplier and advocate of naturally sourced waters and other wholesome beverages.
We are recruiting a Head of Supply Chain and Logistics who will be a key player in the senior management team and who will deliver strategic direction within the Supply Chain function. The brief is to:
- Develop the operating culture within the supply chain function and move it towards ‘best in class’

Ensure a strong customer focus and supply chain improvement across the business to support commercial objectives

Develop an action plan in the first 12 months to deliver results in key areas including supply chain process, customer forecasting & planning, logistics, team structure and development plans

Foster strong, influential relationships at all levels across the internal and external supply chain

Play a strategic role and be an integral part of the senior management team which is driving the success of the business

Demonstrate a passion and knowledge for supply chain excellence

Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen as well as exceptional results from supply chain management within an FMCG environment
This is a fantastic opportunity and we are looking for someone with the skills and experience that allows them to hit the ground running, therefore a background in FMCG, a strong network of contacts, as well as knowledge of trends, challenges and opportunities is essential. Regular travel across the UK will be required.
Candidates are likely to have a degree in business or supply chain and will ideally be CIPS qualified. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of success within a senior supply chain and logistics leadership role in an FMCG environment and have a high level of understanding of FMCG, the UK Grocery industry and third party logistics providers.
