About the Role
KION are looking to add to the existing strength of the senior leadership team with the appointment of a Managing Director of STILL Material Handling UK Ltd. STILL is a leading provider of intralogistics and material handling solutions, specialising in forklift trucks, warehouse equipment, automation and integrated supply chain systems.
The purpose of this role is to establish and deliver the LTIFR, increase market share, exceed financial targets, employee engagement and NPS in addition to other key budget deliverables across the UK organisation. The UK MD will play an important role in delivering long term growth of the business through successful delivery of a strategic plan aligned with KION ITS EMEA STILL targets and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop STILL UK business, actively seeking the cooperation and collaboration or other regions in order to build upon best practice and enable consistent levels of outstanding service delivery.
Optimise operational delivery of the business with a cross functional focus to enable business efficiency, growth and an ongoing improvement in customer service.
Develop a focus on improved sales performance through activity management, industry and customer focus in order to maximise participation, coverage, market share and contribution market growth.
Ensure a joined-up approach to asset management across all lines of business ensuring best decisions are being made to enable growth, minimise working capital requirements and maximise cash generation.
Represent company corporate compliance standards and ensure effective implementation across the UK.
Candidate Requirements
A strong track record of successful leadership experience in materials handling and supply chain solutions.
A background in B2B sales and service across industrial, capital equipment and leasing sectors.
Transformation/automation experience to deliver turnaround and growth at scale.
High levels of financial and commercial acumen.
Someone who analyses, understands and anticipates customer needs (both internal and external) and market trends and is therefore comfortable in implementing competitive and forward-looking business actions.
Creates an environment in which disruptive and creative solutions are welcomed and valued.
Development and coaching of teams, creating an inspiring learning and development culture and robust levels of leadership succession planning in the business.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and customer relationship management.
High levels of emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience and professionalism at all times.
