The Contribution & Development (C&D) office is an independent entity, reporting to the Supervisory Board with the purpose of ensuring the effective governance of the William Grant Way (WGW) to optimally achieve the Company Objectives.

The WGW is the Company's Operating Model and provides the framework for how the business works at its best. There are five key pillars – Organisation, People, Business Processes, Technology and Ways of Working. The WGW provides a well organised structure to allow activities to happen in a coordinated way to ensure the long-term success of the Company.

The central role of the C&D office will be to ensure the effective governance of the WGW Operating Model, to achieve the Company's objectives. The office will also support the Supervisory Board in monitoring and accelerating the progress of people development and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced People Lead to own all matters relating to the People and Ways of Working pillars in order to sustain and optimise their content and application, to ensure the most effective and efficient possible outcomes for the Company. The People Lead will also work with the business in developing a high-performing organisation with an employee-oriented, open and collaborative culture that emphasises empowerment and promotes team working. The role will also ensure that the business is building the necessary capabilities to deliver the long-term growth to the highest performance standards.

 

You will also:

  • Monitor and ensure that all employees carry out their work in the business and operate with their teams in accordance with the specified requirements of the WGW People pillar in relation both to its normal functioning and the governance aspects, with the acknowledgement that management have primary responsibility for this outcome
  • Work with the Business Units and Central Services teams to ensure the on-going development of the WGW People pillar in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Company operations, allowing for Freedom within the Framework. Ensure that all developments are in line with policy and in the overall interests of the Company
  • Oversee the design and development of the to-be processes across the People & Ways of Working pillars ensuring integration and consistency to deliver efficient ways of working, greater understanding and heightened adoption of the WGW across the business.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of developing and implementing processes and systems, operating as part of an HR Leadership Team
  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Human Resources or other relevant field.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders on business issues, applying effective influencing and consulting skills
  • Experience within a FMCG or Manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a Global organisation is desirable.
  • Resilience and working with ambiguity
