Director of Operations

Tri-Point Oil & Gas Production Systems, LLC (Tri-Point) is a portfolio company of First Reserve, a leading global private equity and infrastructure investment firm exclusively focused on energy.  Tri-Point brings together high-performing, complementary products centred on oil & gas production, processing and environmental control equipment. The company was co-founded by Britt Schmidt and David Lucke, experienced oil & gas industry executives, with the vision of creating a differentiated national brand that has the technical capability to more efficiently fulfil customer needs. The company will continue to grow and integrate its national footprint, leveraging the strengths of its five core brands:  LEED Fabrication, Streamline Production Systems, SFI Superior Fabrication Inc., Edge and Crossfire. Today, the company provides custom engineered products and services to customers in some of the most prolific shale plays in North America.

To accomplish the overall corporate plan, the Director of Operations must be able to direct their support staff to achieve their goals. The various departments need to be organised so that all employees know what their roles and goals are. This candidate must have excellent communication skills and be open to delegating responsibility. Part of the communication process includes generating clear concise reports to the senior management of the company. Strong leadership skills and the ability to make difficult decisions are a necessity for this candidate. In addition to day-to-day management, the Director of Operations is required to select and hire qualified personnel as department heads. They must understand the work of their departments thoroughly, as they are constantly required to make difficult decisions about departmental activities.
