Sales Director, Homes North Scotland

About the role

The Stewart Milne Group is one of the UK’s largest independent house builders and the UK’s leading provider of innovative timber systems. The business was originally established in 1975 and still strives to develop and improve upon the values that have set them apart for 40 years.

The Stewart Milne Group provides innovative solutions for commercial developments and residential homes through their Homes, Timber Systems and Commercial Divisions across the UK, employing c.1000 people. The most recent Group figures show a turnover of just over £220m.

Stewart Milne Homes North Scotland (SMHNS) is one of three housing divisions within SMG and operates with its own board of directors.  It operates within the housing market areas of Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth with its core activity being private housing for sale with a portion of affordable housing on its own developments.

Over the next 5 years the division is set to grow once more to over 400 units per annum. It currently has 9 active sites and as part of their growth strategy, they have aspirations to expand their North Scotland presence further. As a result, the division seeks to appoint a Sales Director, to join the business at an exciting time of growth both within the housebuilding market and the Group.

Reporting to the SMHNS Managing Director, the Sales Director will form part of the Divisional Board and will contribute to the growth strategy and overall management of the business. The individual will hold responsibility for all stages of the sales cycle, from contributing to land appraisals based on customer and market feedback, through to aftersales. Importantly, the successful appointee will play a key part in developing the SMG brand in the North and build trust with customers, key contacts and suppliers in the local marketplace.

Reflecting the challenges of this senior appointment, there is an attractive remuneration and benefits package on offer.
