FWB Advises on Appointment of Director of Finance & Corporate Services at RSNO

  • Appointments

FWB have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with RSNO, one of Europe’s leading orchestras with a rich history stretching back over 125 years, previously advising on their Chair and Treasurer appointments.  We are delighted to have partnered with them again recently to appoint Nicola Mills as Director of Finance & Corporate Services at a critical time in the organisation in terms of commercial growth and change.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance & Corporate Services is the organisation’s lead expert on finance matters, advising the CEO, Management Team and Board of Trustees of short, medium, and long-term finance strategies and activities to optimise the RSNO’s financial resources.

Nicola will also sit on the Board of Scottish Digital Arts Media which was formed in 2021 to provide soundtrack recording services for clients including Walt Disney, Sony Pictures and Paramount, amongst other.  This is a key focus and growth area for the business.

Nicola trained with KPMG and spent time with EY in their audit function.  She spent 5 years with the human rights organisation Amnesty International, in Senior Finance roles before her most recent move to the Royal Academy of Arts in London where she was Deputy Director of Finance.  She brings strong strategic finance experience in the arts sector, including transformation, fundraising and major capital planning.

Commenting on the appointment from FWB, Ailsa Sutherland said:

“We are thrilled to have supported the RSNO with this appointment into the Senior Leadership Team and we wish her and the team every success as they continue to shape the future of the organisation”
