Graeme Jones has been appointed Chief Executive of Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE), replacing Owen Kelly who has held the post since 2008.  He joins from Experian, having previously held senior posts with Aviva, RBS and Standard Life.

Alan Fairweather has been appointed as CEO of Eclipse Intervention having previously been a Vice President with Schlumberger based in Houston, Eclipse is a Lime Rock Partners backed decommissioning technology company based in Aberdeen.

Steven Roth joins Scottish National Ballet as Executive Director from West Australian Ballet where is he is CEO.

Derek Quirk has joined Macfarlane Group PLC, combining the roles of Company Secretary, Head of Internal Audit and Group Projects.  He was previously Financial Controller for the Aftermarket Services Division of BBA Aviation PLC in London, having been Head of Internal Audit prior to that.


Chris Mackay has been appointed to the Board of Celtic plc  as Finance Director.  He joins from Deloitte where he was a Director.

Russell Borthwick, a former executive with media group Trinity Mirror has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.


Having joined Superglass plc as Senior Independent Director earlier this year, Mark Cubitt (CFO of Denholm Oilfield Services) has been appointed Chairman.

Iain Steele has joined Everwarm (part of Lakehouse Group PLC) as Finance Director.  He was previously with BDO Corporate Finance in Glasgow.

Kevin Docherty has been appointed as Commercial Manager at RGU Oil and Gas Institute.  Kevin was previously business acquisition lead with Saipem’s Sonsub division in Aberdeen and was previously with Ceona Offshore and Calash.

Peter Howell has been appointed as Drilling & Wells Excellence Manager, also at RGU Oil and Gas Institute.  Peter joins from Taqa, where he was Wells Manager, and brings with him more than 30 years of drilling, well engineering, operations, supply chain, leadership and business management experience within the oil and gas industry.

 
Sean Keatings has joined Aggreko plc as Group Continuous Improvement Manager having built his career with Chevron and Capgemini Consulting.

Nigel Munro has been appointed to Henry Boot Developments as Senior Project Manager, Scotland and Lead Project Manager for AECC (the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre).  He joins from KPMG and was previously with Miller Developments.

Standard Life has appointed Leon Withyman, formerly of Esure, as Head of Resource Planning.


Iain Hawkins has been appointed as General Manager, Aberdeenshire for National Trust for Scotland.  For the past 17 years Ian has been employed by Merlin Entertainment’s Group in a number of senior positions.

In a series of other Property Manager appointments at National Trust for Scotland, Kevin Frediani is joining Inverewe Gardens, Paula Swan at Castle Fraser and James Henderson at Crathes Castle.


Mark Ritchie has been appointed as Group Financial Controller of ICR Integrity.  Mark joined ICR from Petrofac where he was a Finance Manager for the Atlantic Resourcing Division.  Graphite Capital are the private equity owners of ICR and Mark had worked as Group Financial Controller for a pervious portfolio company Dominion Gas.


Scott Johnstone has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Glenalmond College.  Carole Timms, formerly of Esure has also joined as Interim Head of HR.

 
The Law Society of Scotland has appointed Aileen Caskie as Executive Director of Member Services & Engagement.  She had been running her own successful business for a number of years.

With £2.5 billion of capital, Business Growth Fund is a major equity investor in growing British SME’s. Keith Barclay has been appointed as Investment Manager in Aberdeen having built his career with Shepherd & Wedderburn, Blás and Souter Investments.

Loulou Reid has been appointed as Accounting Director at Bristows Helicopters.  She was previously Head of Finance UK for Hallin Marine and previously held senior finance roles with KCA Deutag and GE Vetco Gray.

Kathy McLaughlin and Sandra Gilchrist have both joined City of Edinburgh Council as HR Business Partners.  Kathy has relocated from Portugal and Sandra was previously with Lloyds Banking Group.

Aberdeen City Council has appointed Marc Cole as City Centre Director to provide leadership on all aspects of the City Centre Masterplan.  He had previously been Strategic Director for North East Lincolnshire Council.
