FWB Strengthens team with trio of new appointments …

Executive search and selection specialist FWB Ltd has strengthened its own senior team by adding two new faces and announcing a key internal promotion.

The Edinburgh headquartered executive recruitment company, which also has offices in Aberdeen and London, made the move as it prepared to mark its 20th year of business.

The new appointments are Charles José McGarry, who will join as a Director from Warren Partners, and Graham Burns from Page Executive, who will become an Associate Director.

Dual UK/Spanish national Charles José McGarry has worked in executive search for more than 25 years throughout the UK and internationally, particularly in markets which include energy/oil & gas, industrial, professional and financial services. He is also a member of the 2% Club, an organisation dedicated to bringing about greater diversity in the boardroom, being part of the steering group in Scotland.

Graham Burns arrives at FWB with over 15 years recruitment experience, predominantly in the financial services and professional sectors. The University of Aberdeen graduate has previously worked in London on senior executive search projects before returning to Scotland.

Ailsa Sutherland, who has been with FWB since 2008, has at the same time been promoted from Associate Director to Director.  The Napier University graduate has a strong track record in the technology, manufacturing and life sciences areas and is a regular contributor to industry think tanks and special interest industry groups.

Commenting on the appointments FWB co-founder Scott Black said he was confident that the new team members would make a valuable contribution to the company’s growth with their mix of knowledge, drive and enthusiasm.

“We are about to celebrate 20 years since myself and fellow directors Willie Finlayson and Judy Wagner founded the company, and it’s satisfying to be able to mark that milestone by further developing the senior team at FWB,” he added.
