Scale up Leadership Series – Dinner with John Brodie

  • Leadership

On Wednesday 14th June, together with our friends at Coutts and NatWest, Adam Brown and Rebecca Little of FWB Park Brown hosted a roundtable dinner in Edinburgh with 18 leaders and investors of Scottish headquartered scale up businesses.

We were fortunate enough to have John Brodie as our speaker. John has devoted his career to helping businesses become data led in their decision making. In 2012, he founded Aquila Insight, an analytics and technology business that he grew from 2 to 200 people and was then acquired in 2017.  He then co-founded Forth Point in 2020 which was acquired in 2022. John has been on the board for The Data Lab, and acts as an Advisor and Investor in numerous Scottish start-ups including Zumo and Gigged.AI, and most recently he is the EIR for Edinburgh University’s AI Accelerator. He has been named as one of Data IQ’s 100 most influential people in data.

Throughout the evening, John led us in conversation through his own entrepreneurial journey and his learnings along the way, offering advice to the ambitious entrepreneurs in the room. Following his engaging and informative presentation, we enjoyed a lively round table discussion.

This event was part of our scale up leadership series which is delivered in partnership with Coutts in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Newcastle. For further information, or if you would like to attend one of these dinners, please contact adam@fwbparkbrown.com or rebecca@fwbparkbrown.com.
