COP26 Leadership Series: Juliet Davenport, Founder of Good Energy Group PLC

  • Thought Leadership

On Friday 21st May FWB Park Brown hosted the inaugural session of our COP26 leadership series, leading up to the Climate Change Summit in Glasgow in November. Our speaker was Juliet Davenport, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Energy Plc – a renewable energy company with a mission to power a greener, cleaner future together with its customers.

Juliet has been an innovator for over 20 years, working on ideas to fight climate change and transform the energy sector for the better. In 2013, she was awarded an OBE for services to renewables. She currently sits on the board of the Renewable Energy Association and Innovate UK. Juliet is Vice President of the Energy Institute and in July 2020 she was appointed as a new board member of The Crown Estate. In addition, she sits on the advisory boards of leading UK think tanks, including Energy Systems Catapult, Aurora, Oxford Energy, and LSE’s Grantham Institute.

Around 50 guests joined the session, representing a wide range of leading organisations in the discussion that followed Juliet’s presentation. Discussion topics included what it would take to become zero carbon, where our businesses fit into the zero carbon world and how boards and investors are reacting to these challenges and pressures.

Juliet has a new podcast that we are delighted to share with our connections: Great Green Questions with Juliet Davenport
