Group Financial Controller
About Clyde Munro
Clyde Munro is Scotland’s leading dental group, operating 64 practices and serving more than 457,000 patients across the country. Established in 2015, the business has grown rapidly to generate revenues of more than £65m, supported by a team of c.500 employees and over 300 dentists.
The group provides both NHS and private dentistry across a broad range of general, advanced and cosmetic treatments. Its proposition is centred on making high-quality dental care accessible and convenient, with a modern, patient-led approach focused on long-term dental wellbeing. Clyde Munro places particular emphasis on the patient experience, combining high clinical standards with welcoming practices and strong relationships between patients and their dental teams.
Clyde Munro established its platform through the acquisition of a group of practices in the West of Scotland, with significant follow-on capital deployed to expand the network and build a leading dental group in Scotland. It has built a strong platform, underpinned by a consistent clinical and operational approach across its network. As the group continues to scale, it remains focused on maintaining the culture, quality of care and local relationships that have supported its growth to date.
Investec acquired Clyde Munro from Synova in March 2025 and is supporting the business through its next phase of growth. The group is led by Jim Hall, Founder and CEO, alongside Chris Howell, Non-Executive Chairman.
Today, the business has the scale, infrastructure and market position to continue expanding its footprint. The outlook for dentistry in Scotland is positive, supported by significant Scottish Government investment in NHS dentistry and a continued focus on improving access to dental services. Against this backdrop, Clyde Munro sees considerable opportunity to increase capacity and extend patient access across Scotland. Its growth strategy combines optimisation of the existing estate with surgery expansions, new site development and selective acquisitions.
