Scott’s Charity Challenge for 2013 – The Raid Pyrenean – 9th September

  • Uncategorized

Putting aside the actual distance, this challenge involves climbing more than Everest (which is 8848 meters) and he has only given himself 5 days to do it in (He is actually targeting 4.5 days but we will say 5 days just to be on the safe side!)

The charity he has chosen is Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, which is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer ,including Leukaemia ,Lymphoma and Myeloma.

Their  life saving research is focussed on finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments and running ground breaking trials for all blood cancer patients.

Scott became aware of the charity’s work when Sophie Harvey, the daughter of a friend was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2008. As a result of the research funded by this charity she has thankfully been in remission for 4 years.

You can give Scott much needed support and contribute much needed funds to an excellent charity by donating via his just giving page: www.justgiving.co.uk/Scott-Black

Your support is very much appreciated.

Many Thanks
