FWB advises The Royal Yacht Britannia on the appointment of Monica Banks as Director of Finance & Technology

FWB are delighted to congratulate The Royal Yacht Britannia on the appointment of Monica Banks as their new Director of Finance & Technology.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is one of Scotland’s leading visitor attractions and hospitality destinations, welcoming guests from across the world to experience the former Royal Yacht of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Recently named Tripadvisor’s No.1 Attraction in the World, the organisation also operates a successful events and hospitality business and continues to invest in innovation and operational excellence. FWB are pleased to have partnered with The Royal Yacht Britannia on this important senior appointment.

Monica joins the executive leadership team at an exciting stage in the organisation’s continued development, with responsibility for leading both the finance and technology functions. Her appointment will support The Royal Yacht Britannia in strengthening financial stewardship, alongside investment in new technology to enhance the visitor experience both aboard the Royal Yacht and online, while supporting future growth across the wider business.

Monica brings a wealth of consumer brand experience to the role from her time with Diageo, where she spent eight years with the business in Singapore in a range of commercially focussed finance roles. Monica joins from Trust Housing Association, where she was responsible for strategic project delivery, bringing a strong blend of commercial finance expertise, operational leadership, and strategic projects experience to The Royal Yacht Britannia as it continues to evolve and grow.
