Adam Brown commented “Rachel has joined Edinburgh Airport at a time when its owners Global Infrastructure Partners are heavily investing in the business. Her role will play a key part in leading this strategy and, having run a comprehensive search of the market, we are certain that Rachel has the best possible mix of skills and experience to make this a huge success.”
Rachel Keys will lead the team in various aspects of business to strengthen the airport’s long-term commercial strategy. Reporting to John Watson, Chief Commercial Officer, Rachel will work with teams across the airport campus to identify new commercial opportunities for campus-wide projects to enhance the airport’s property and asset portfolio.
After spending more than a decade at PwC Scotland where she was a Director in the Corporate Finance team, Rachel brings a wealth of experience in advising the public and private sector on financial aspects of large scale infrastructure developments, including the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
Speaking of her appointment, John Watson said: “Rachel joins us at a very exciting time and will be instrumental in helping us grow our long-term commercial strategy. It’s another great example of our business attracting top talent. “Rachel has an impressive track record in delivering complex infrastructure investment projects. As Head of Commercialisation, Rachel will develop new airport-related business areas, creating more jobs and increased prosperity for the local area. She will work closely with our local partners and international investors to deliver inward investment across our campus. At Edinburgh Airport we’re dedicated to providing our customers with the best. We’re looking forward to working with Rachel, whose passion and experience will help maximise our potential for continued growth and enhance our commitment to being one of the leading airports for our size in Europe.”
