Events, Brand & Partnerships Lead

Laura joined FWB in 2023 and leads the firm’s events, partnerships, brand and external engagement activity. Her role spans strategic events and executive programmes, brand and marketing, digital engagement, creative direction, and the development of FWB’s key external networks and partnerships.
With a First-Class Honours degree in Events Management from Robert Gordon University, Laura began her career at the British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, where she held a range of progressively senior programme and stakeholder engagement roles across London and Edinburgh.
Before joining FWB, Laura also worked at Social Bite, leading high-profile national campaigns and engagement initiatives. Across her career, she has delivered major international events, strategic engagement programmes and large-scale campaigns, including the British Pavilion opening events at the Venice Biennale, the British Council’s COP26 engagement strategy, and Social Bite’s national Christmas campaign, which raised £2 million to support people experiencing homelessness across the UK.
Laura has worked with a broad range of senior stakeholders and partners, including government representatives, business leaders, members of the royal household, and internationally recognised organisations and cultural institutions.
As part of her role at FWB, Laura works closely with the firm’s strategic networks and flagship platforms, including the Scottish HR Leadership Group, Scottish Finance Leaders Network and Scottish CFO Awards. She also leads the delivery of FWB’s executive education programmes in partnership with the University of Edinburgh Business School.
